A government is the body within a community, political entity or organization which has the authority to make and enforce rules, laws, and regulations.. Typically, the term "government" refers to a civil government or sovereign state which can be either local, national, or international. However, commercial, academic, religious, or other formal organizations are also governed by internal bodies. Such bodies may be called boards of directors, managers, or governors or they may be known as the administration (as in schools) or councils of elders (as in churches). The size of governments can vary by region or purpose. Growth of an organization advances the complexity of its government, therefore small towns or small-to-medium privately-operated enterprises will have fewer officials than typically larger organizations such as multinational corporations which tend to have multiple interlocking, hierarchical layers of administration and governance. As complexity increases and the nature of governance becomes more complicated, so does the need for formal policies and procedures. From Wikipedia under the

If you are indeed talking about the Seljuk Turks empire, then that particular government was an emperor governing over a number of local autonomous kingdoms ruled by family members. Answered by ww2db - Tue Nov 25 13:00:46 2008 What about a government that allows vets to become homeless and does nothing? Q. I've read stories of vets coming home from Iraq and ending up on the street. This seems to be true for Vietnam vets and those in World War II. It seems the government would at least help these people get into some kind of low income housing or rehabilitation and schooling. Where is the government when a vet needs help? As one can see from the varied responses, there are all levels of satisfaction with VA services - depending on one's own experiences. Of course it is those who have much difficulty in getting results that we hear from more loudly and more often. I would advise women whose husband's have high levels of disability, especially Vietnam vets, to do everything you can to be financially prepared for living on your own. Q. Isn't this a form of socialism in that the Federal Government is subsidizing property owners by letting them write off the interest on the taxes? We all know the Federal Government is short on money, so it doesn't make sense that the rest of us have to pay other people's interest payments on their mortgages! Asked by trer - Thu Feb 28 11:11:57 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments A. No. When you purchase a house, you are paying four times what you should be paying due to the cheapening of the dolar and the interest. Houses are not becoming more scarce. My grandfather bought a house in 1939 for 5600 and it was 5 times as large as the dinky towhouses we pay 450,000 for today. It's an enormous fraud by the international bankers. The Federal reserve is NOT an agency of the United States of America. It is a private corporation that has never been audited! The federal reserve is unConstitutional, indeed, anti-Constitutional. The Constitution of the United States states clearly and concisely that Congress shall have the sole power to coin money and regulate the value thereof.
